Spiritual direction is having a soul friend who will listen compassionately and intentionally for how God is moving in your life. The director assumes that God is a God who longs to speak to you and reveal Truth and Love to you. The spiritual director is listening to God and to the directee in order to offer space for the directee to learn from God. The director will potentially offer spiritual practices, discernment exercises, prayer and silence, and a place to process pain, confusion, life transitions or disillusionment.
